The FIU Career Ready Micro-Certificate is designed to prepare students with the skills they need to succeed in the 21st century workforce. The Micro-Certificate shows employers that students are not only academically prepared, but that they are also Career Ready through a series of Micro-Credentials designed to supplement their curriculum.
Developed by Florida International University for all active students, the FIU Career Ready Micro-Certificate recognizes fundamental knowledge of essential power skills, also known as soft skills, which are valued by employers across all fields. Earners can understand how to acquire and document competencies within and beyond their curriculum, ensuring they are not only academically prepared, but that they are also Career Ready. Earners of the Micro-Certificate are well-prepared for their careers as all different types of professionals.
The micro-certificate is offered free of charge to all enrolled students and designed with flexibility, allowing students to complete it alongside their academic degree program.
