FIU Career Ready Micro-Certificate

The FIU Career Ready Micro-Certificate is designed to prepare students with the skills they need to succeed in the 21st century workforce. The Micro-Certificate shows employers that students are not only academically prepared, but that they are also Career Ready through a series of Micro-Credentials designed to supplement their curriculum.

About the Micro-Certificate

The FIU Career Ready Micro-Certificate teaches students essential power skills, also known as soft skills, which are valuable across all disciplines. These skills enable students to document and acquire competencies within and beyond their curriculum, ensuring they are well-prepared for their careers. The micro-certificate is offered free of charge to all enrolled students and designed with flexibility, allowing students to complete it alongside their academic degree program.

How to Apply

Students can apply to the FIU Career Ready Micro-Certificate through an online application. The Office of Micro-Credentials will process the student application and enroll an eligible student into the FIU Career Ready Micro-Certificate in Canvas. Students will maintain enrollment until they either complete the micro-certificate or they are no longer an active student at FIU. Students will receive credit for any micro-credentials they have completed already.
